Bouclette

Some of our bath linen is made from 100% cotton bouclette, a premium cotton fabric woven with two warp threads and one weft thread. The structure of the textile is formed by the first warp thread. The second warp thread creates a curly surface known as "bouclette" ("loop"). These loops may be present on one or both sides of the fabric. In most cases, the loops are present on both sides to ensure optimum water absorption. The quality of the cotton also determines the quality of the linen, as does the weight of the terrycloth: the heavier the terry, the softer and more absorbent the bath linen.

Velour

One of the sides has been shaved, making it appear shinier. With velour, the tops of the curls are shaved off. This results in a fabric with one side containing short and tightly-knit threads, and the other covered with upright fibers held together by the weft threads.

Our terry velour retains all its absorbent qualities.
